Sarah Foley’s Motorcycle Drive By
In my self-proclaimed 3eb expert opinion, I will argue that Motorcycle Drive By is the most underrated 3eb song by the masses.
However to the fans - we all know better. For me personally, every lyric and chord is sacred and I know I’m not alone in that sentiment.
In the past several months of 3eb ink, I have found that MDB inspired tattoos are a favorite amongst 3eb fans.
I mean the lyric “So Alive” even made it on t-shirts the boys sold at shows and on their website – it fucking resonates, you know? For some “So Alive” means triumph, strength, embracing all the chaos life brings, awareness, and so much more. With that said, it’s no wonder I see this lyric proudly branded on so many fans.
Sarah Foley and I met several months back via the various fan pages on social media and I must say I’m in awe of her. She’s such a genuine person. Always grinning from ear to ear, full of love and life; she wears many hats and wears them well, whether it be mother, partner, friend, massage therapist, actress or Summer Goddess her grace shows through.
If you browse her photos it’s clear to see she takes the lyric she has inked on her to heart – she is most definitely “So Alive” living each moment to the absolute fullest. Sarah was kind enough to sit down with me and talk a little bit about her ink.
Amanda Birlew: What inspired your 3eb ink?
Sarah Foley: Motorcycle Drive By is one of my favorite songs, and I have been wanting a 3EB tattoo for a long time and "so alive" just seemed a good fit.
AB: Did you design the tattoo or did the tattoo artist help bring your vision to life?
SF: I designed it.
AB: Does the placement have any significance?
SF: It's on my wrist. I wanted it somewhere I could easily see it.
AB: Who was the artist; where was the shop located?
SF: Golden Spiral in Greensboro, NC but I can't remember the artist’s name.
AB: What would you like the boys to know about it?
SF: 3EB has been a part of me for 20 years so this tattoo is symbolic of that.
AB: Any plans for more 3eb inspired ink?
SF: Probably not - not a big tattoo person.
