Back to Zero: A Reset
2017 has been a particularly trying one; personally, professionally and everything else in between.
Every time I hear ‘Back to Zero’ from the Dopamine album it literally resets my thoughts back into positive mode, especially when I’m feeling like it’s just all too damn much and want to run away.
My sister Ness and I, as most of you know by now, traveled from Australia to follow the boys from LA, Vegas and Berkeley on the Summer Gods Tour in July this year.
It was just the trip we needed to zero out all the BS and not have sorrow bring us down anymore. This trip not only renewed our love for travel, music, life, 3EB and each other but gave us the confidence to no longer live our lives for other people or in fear. Who knew just seeing a band could do all that!? But we all know this isn’t just any band, right?
I took this photo of Stephan on the last gig of the tour in Berkeley and captured him in a moment of reflection. It is one of my favorite pix of the whole trip. I just think it beautifully epitomizes this song, hope and all the feels over the past year.
Forever Black on Black (with a dash of hot pink!)!

Tell us what we see in this art work – This is my interpretation of SJ’s thoughts and feelings in a moment frozen in time, reflected into the lyrics of ‘Back to Zero’ i.e. loss, melancholy, hope, reset.
