Interview: Adam Leefers
Do you recall the very first 3eb song you have ever heard? If so what song was it? How did it make you feel?
The first song I heard from 3EB was 'How's It Going To Be'. I was at a high school dance and they often had the music video accompanying the song. I remember almost being hypnotized as I watched the video and listened to the lyrics. I've been "in the blind" since that moment.
Tell me about your first 3EB show. What was it like?
My first 3EB show was in Washington, Missouri in 2007. It was a two hour drive and the concert was at a county fair but totally worth it.
Is there one particular 3EB concert that stands out to you from all the others? Why?
The Bluebird - Bloomington, Indiana October 26, 2015
I lived in Bloomington for 3 years and it was like a month after I moved to Grand Rapids, MI that they announced this show. The Bluebird is such a small venue that I knew I couldn't pass it up. I convinced a buddy that lived in Indianapolis to go with me and made the drive. It is the best 3EB show I have seen to date and I was able to get a picture with most of the band after the show.
Do you or have you created any Third Eye Blind inspired art or writing?
My brother, who use to hate 3EB but now is almost as big a fan as me, recently made me a canvas print incorporating a little from each album in it.
What is the greatest thing that being a fan has brought into your life?
Other than awesome music, I love going to shows and being with people who enjoy the music as much as I do. Being able to sing along to your favorite songs with complete strangers is one of the best feelings in the world. It's like the lyrics say, 'I found my people and nothing else matters.'
If you could help choose 5 songs to put on a set list, which ones would you choose? Why?
Alright Caroline, Queen of Daydreams, Why Can't You Be, Shipboard Cook and Palm Reader. These are all songs that I have yet to see live. Fingers crossed that the next show takes a few off this list.
Thank you for this opportunity,
