Our Expert Of The Week this week is Cassie Snyder.

Sometimes we go really deep with these questions, but this week we went with all fun questions.

She's got some great answers. Enjoy!

Janelle: If you got to have a sit down (non-date) meal and conversation with any member of the band, who would you choose?

Cassie: So hard to choose! I’ve already met Stephan and Brad briefly at a meet and greet, so I’d like to eventually meet everyone! So, I think I’d pick Kryz for this situation, preferably over ice cream. We both play guitar and like to ride bikes, so I figured we would have stuff in common to talk about.

J: Do you or have you created any Third Eye Blind inspired art or writing?

C: A few things, yes. A couple lyric artworks I did in Adobe Illustrator. I even painted a rock lol. I put the lyrics “don’t give in” on it. I will eventually hide it somewhere in my town so someone else can find and enjoy it.

J: What are your favorite lyrics and why?

C:
“If nothing else I am myself, that’s all I have to give,” from “Bonfire,” or, “Maybe I, maybe I am like no other,” from “Monotov's Private Opera.” If I ever got a tattoo, it would probably include these lyrics. Both pretty much sum up who I am as a person. I’m a tomboy, I don’t like shopping, shoes or salad. I don’t wear makeup, I play guitar, and I can ride a motorcycle.

J: If the band offered to let you perform with them, what part would you want to play? What songs would you want to sing?

C: Oh, that is one of my fantasies! But I would totally die for real if it happened, ha. I can’t sing, but I play guitar. I would love to do something acoustic, like “Why Can’t You Be” or “Motorcycle Drive By.” Those are the 2 songs I know all the way through.

J: If you could help choose 5 songs to put on a set list, which ones would you choose? Why?

C: So hard, but I think I’ll break this down by choosing one from each album.
Motorcycle Drive By” because it’s a favorite and I love hearing the crowd sing along to it.
Slow Motion” - At one point, I used to know how to play this on guitar (back before I knew there were words to go along) and I love it even more now.
Crystal Baller” - This one just rocks! I love to scream-sing the chorus.
I love all of Ursa Major, but I think I’ll go with “Bonfire.” They played this at the end of the show I was at in 2016 and I just thought it was a beautiful way to go out.
Back to Zero” is my favorite off Dopamine. I heard it on the Fall Of The Summer Gods Tour, and I need to hear it more.

J: You’re trapped in an elevator for 1 hour with Stephan Jenkins and he offers to play you two songs... What would they be?

C: Probably the only time I’d be ok with being stuck in an elevator lol! Um, I guess I’d choose “Don’t Give In” and “I Want You.” I think those would calm me down.

J: If you found a magic Third Eye Blind lamp, a semi-charmed genie popped out, and you could make three Third Eye Blind related wishes, what would they be?

C: 1. Be able to travel to any show I want. I live in the Midwest, so I don’t get as much of a chance to see them as east or west coast does.
2. Front row, every time - short people will understand this.
3. Be able to play every 3EB song on guitar… That might take a lifetime, so I figured a genie wish would solve that.
