Susan Zuckerman Seely:  If you find a Third Eye Blind magic lamp and a Semi-Charmed genie popped out after you rubbed it what would your three Third Eye Blind related wishes be?

Lucy Alvarez: My first wish would be for Third Eye Blind to play my wedding. I know I'll never be able to afford them, but I truly cannot think of a better wish.

My second wish would be for a private concert for my closest and dearest friends who also happen to be some of their biggest fans. After having shared the rails with my girls in So Cal, I want to tap into that amazing feeling on a larger scale and have all my people with me. We would all meet up in a central location, donate our ticket "prices" to a common charity and spend the evening rocking out together.

My third wish would be for Christopher, my boyfriend, to get to drum with Brad. He's a huge fan and a fellow drummer who is constantly drumming on the steering wheel, coffee table, couch etc so to see him on a drum kit with Brad by his side would make me super happy.

SZS: What are your favorite lyrics and why?

LA: I suppose I can note my favorite lyrics but it's more than that for me, it's the best part of my favorite song,"...and there's this burning like there's always been. I've never been so alone and I've, I've never been so alive" more specifically 1:50-2:42 of Motorcycle Drive By. That part of the song I have always found to be my reset where I get lost in the instruments, scream the lyrics at the top of my lungs and let the music enrapture me. Those 52 seconds are absolutely everything to me and so I can't say I have a favorite lyric because I more so have a favorite collection of seconds.

SZS: Is there one particular Third Eye Blind concert that stands out to you and why?

LA: The show last April (2016) at the North Park Observatory in San Diego, CA stands out to me the most. This was the first concert I attended with a group of friends, all of which shared the same love for the band that I have for so long. Having that connection to ladies I now consider close friends really enriched the overall concert experience for me. Prior to this show, I was used to always going with a significant other and it was usually only hometown shows. This was the first time I made a girls weekend out of it and went to two shows back to back, San Diego and LA with the same group of ladies and it turned it into a completely different concert experience for me. There's something to be said for going to a show and sharing rails with people that have the same deep emotional connection to the band that you do.

SZS: Third Eye Blind fans are all ages, some are brand new and some have been there since day one. How long have you been 'In the Blind'?

LA: I've been a fan for the last 15 years. I was first exposed to them through my sister who constantly played Self Titled and truth be told I initially wasn't much of a fan. I didn't really understand the depth of the lyrics and it wasn't until a high school friend was playing them that I recognized a song and then went back and gave self titled another listen. That second listen through was as if I was really discovering them for the first time and that began a love affair that has only grown over the years.

SZS: You're trapped in an elevator for 5 minutes with Stephen Jenkins. He offers to play you two songs. What would they be?

LA: I'd ask for Motorcycle Drive By because that's been my song since day one. For many people their favorite Third Eye Blind song changes depending on mood, daily happenings, day of time, etc but for me it never has because my number one has always been MDB. The second song I would love to hear is Water Landing. I re discovered so to speak before my So Cal trip last April and ever since then it's held a special place in my heart.
