All in Out Of The Vein
Like a baller…a shot caller.
Join us in celebrating 15 years of Out of the Vein. On May 13, marks 15 years since this amazing, and underrated album, was brought to us. 3eb Lifestyle is celebrating all month long. Enjoy today’s tribute, a collection of stories and memories that remind us why this is the soundtrack to our lives. =
Bridgett Colson set out on a mission in October 2017. That mission is to complete a piece of artwork for every Third Eye Blind song.
I’ll be turning 35 in a few days and I haven’t really felt old until recently. The “On This Day” feature on Facebook isn’t helping! I’m constantly reminded of a memory that I see and I’m like “How was that already (insert number) years ago already?”
Read on to learn more about the inspiration behind their tattoos, how their 3EB love is a big part of their sisterly love, how 3EB has personally affected Jessica, and more!
We all experience death or suicide at some point in our lives. A death or suicide that breaks us, but makes us who we are now... We would be void of character or depth without these experiences.
We are engaging people for whom our music is part of their present tense- not a memory, but now.
Have you ever felt like a moment was in slow motion? Like you could literally reach out and grab words, expressions, feelings? Then out of nowhere, suddenly everything speeds back up and things are quickly spiraling out of control, and you’re left with your head spinning, wondering what just happened?
Third Eye Blind is the soundtrack to my life is an expression I’ve seen posted a lot lately and it really resonates with me, which I’ll go into.
What you see in this picture is basically the struggle.
We all love bands, and have our favorite artists, but there is something so incredibly unique about Third Eye Blind that I think a lot of the followers of 3ebLifestyle probably already understand.
How does one begin the saddest story they have experienced in their life thus far? I’d imagine it would begin the same way as the happiest; with introductions. I met Chris when I was 19 years old.
Stephan Jenkins has said, “I’ve never felt like I was part of a crowd at all; I always felt like... I was on the outside of the glass somehow. And that’s what I write about, and I write for the people who feel that way as well...”
I planted rosebushes in the backyard, one for each child we had lost. I watched the rosebushes grow and the seasons change. Eventually we became pregnant again, and three years ago were blessed with our 3eb loving daughter, Rose.
This summer has been marred by awkwardness with our neighbors. The first couple years we had a fairly good relationship with these people.
This song to me is summer and bad behavior. It is clearly an anthem for July, but for me it will now be a song for July 2017 specifically.
It was the first year of our marriage. A marriage that has lasted a solid nine years and still going strong. It was during that first year where I got my 3EB tattoo.
I literally don't listen to anything other than 3EB, and it never gets old. I feel, as I'm sure all of their fans do, that they sing about chapters of my life. It all relates perfectly to me, and I absolutely love the emotion they put into their music. I absolutely love 3eb and that's why I wear them on my skin.
I was introduced to Third Eye Blind like most children of the 90s – “Semi-Charmed Life” was pretty damn inescapable in 1997 – And me being 14 and HELL on wheels with no parental supervision had recently developed a penchant for doing crystal meth until I was lifted to the point of breaking.
We all need to "take a wider view" and understand that everyone has a story, has things they're trying to get through. This meditation has afforded me a deeper understanding and appreciation for the art and insightfulness that Stephan and the band continue to bless us with.
