Saturday with Stephan: Worth the Wait

Some encounters are meant to be.

Expert Janelle Morrow previously shared her interaction with Brad Hargreaves at a 2016 show in Portland, but meeting Brad was just part of the story. Today, Janelle shares with us the rest of the encounter where she got to meet the Magic Man himself.

An attempt to see the band play in Portland, OR in 2013 had to be scrapped due to an unfortunate fatal car accident that caused a massive traffic jam and prevented Janelle and a friend from making it to the show. They got a second chance in 2016 and this time, they not only made it, but the pair went all out with VIP to make it an experience to remember. They took the train this time, too.  After meeting Brad and having a sweet "I think I know you from somehwere" moment where they figured out Brad probably knew her from Twitter, Janelle and her friend got to meet Stephan Jenkins.

"We made a point to tell Stephan what happened on our last attempt and he asked how long it took us. When we told him and he exclaimed 'It’s not worth it!, It’s not worth it!'," Janelle recalls. "After that, we had a brief discussion about meat when Stephan said he was vegan, except for bacon. It was random but that guy is a hoot!"

So after a sad delay and a three year wait, Janelle and her friend not only got to hang out with Brad, but they got to have a good laugh with Stephan. He definitely made their long journey to the show that started three years before worth it. Thanks for being a hoot, Stephan!
