Best Third Eye Blind Moments 2016: nine. Surprise Appearance from the Magic Man Himself.

Abracadabra! It was as if they had pulled a rabbit out of a hat, The Chainsmokers performed one of the biggest acts of Coachella this year, under the Sahara Tent, by inviting Stephan Jenkins, to perform his 19 year old classic hit, “Jumper”.

About half a million in attendance per year, The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival takes place somewhere deep into the California desert. Where exactly??  Indio, California, birth place of Third Eye Blind’s frontman, Stephan Jenkins.

The line up always has the most famous artists, bands and wild art installations, but this year the one thing that was all over the news, EDM social media,  and referred to as “Perhaps most notable unforeseen appearance before an exhilarated crowd.” was the Magic Man. (read more)

But the real surprise was the moment Andrew Taggart introduced Stephan Jenkins lead singer of the popular 90s band, Third Eye Blind. Jenkins had the whole crowd belting with his performance of their 1997 classic “Jumper.” (read more)

Jenkins commented on his experience, “I could not hear a word I was singing and it was the best feeling. The reason I was smiling onstage, was usually the audience is singing along with me and I realized I was singing along with them.”

We, (the people) want to thank Weezer personally for turning down the invite from the Chainsmokers, so that this could be one priceless evening for many of us in 2016. A special Thank You to The Chainsmokers, for the music they put out and for their Magic Show that night.

Now we just have to wait for Coachella to headline Third Eye Blind, then the attendance will sky rocket to 1 million people. Can Indio handle that heat?
