Kickin' it with Kryz: Nicoles Story

Thursday, my favorite day of the week and time, for Kickin’ it with Kryz! This week we hear from Nicole Coletta and her casual encounter with Kryz after a show. Thanks for sharing, Nicole!

I’ve always had a weak spot for Kryz, whether it be his slight Irish accent that he bears, his blue eyes, or his carefree persona. He has always been one of my favorite guitarists to watch and hear play. His love for Prince as a guitarist, is my love for him as a guitarist.

I mostly hold value to moments and memories with these guys, over photo opportunities, so I don’t have a photo to share of any of the moments I have briefly hung out with Kryz. But, I do recall one cool moment, that make people realize that these guys are human, they never think they are above you, and they never ever act untouchable. Which might be the reason why I am never starstruck around them, because they are so normal and down to earth.

One night, in Providence, I went to a restaurant with Cody after a show and the guys were there. I grabbed my go-to at the bar, and for anyone who hasn’t slung drinks back with me yet, it’s a Hendricks and Tonic with extra lime, and headed over to see the guys for a brief moment before we were off on our own endeavors. I sat down and talked to Luke for a moment and Cody looks over to me while talking to Kryz and says, “Oh Kryz, have you met my friend Nicole?”  He stopped what he was doing walked over to me grabs my hand and says, “Nicole, it’s so nice to finally meet you.”

We sat and chatted amongst each other for a few minutes and headed off in separate directions. But before that, Kryz came over and grabbed my hand again and said, “Truly nice to meet you, Nicole!”  Anyone that has ever met Kryz, has said he’s a complete gentleman, and I can attest to that.

Whenever I go to the show, my main goal is to get Kryz side of the barricade. Guitarist have ALWAYS mesmerized me, and see him break down “Say It” five feet away from you is ethereal. I know Tatiana and Amanda feel the same way. With that being said, I have some pretty epic photos of him, throughout the years that I’d love to share.
